The proposal includes 235,000 S.F. of two-story community building including institutional facilities, offices and parking for the Korean American Association of Greater New York. The interplay between the floating solid box and void-like transparent glass box provoke curiosity and interaction from its viewers in the community.

“Solid vs. Void”

The glass facade allows visual interaction from the street, encouraging neighbors to use the facilities. The solid part of the building gives privacy for private events.
